Description
I have been providing person-centred care to people in the community for over 13 years now. Throughout my career I've delivered bespoke care as I believe each person's needs is individual. I have a wealth experience caring for people from all walks of life. Due to this I have acquired extensive experiences, knowledge and training. I have cared for people who had MS, with acquired brain injury, have learning disabilities, autistic, physical disabilities, dementia, parkinsons and mental health. I am trained and experienced in manual handling, safe administration of medicines, safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, first aid awareness, basic life support, health and safety, food hygiene, epilepsy, infection control and mental capacity.
The services I provide are to assist in daily tasks, provide domestic support, take clients shopping or shopping for them, enable them to attend leisure activities, provide personal care such as bathing, shaving, dental care, bowel care (peristeen), catheter management, peg feeding, stoma care, grooming, getting up and assisting to bed. I provide light house work such as laundry, cooking and ironing. I prompt/administer medication, provide companionship and emotional support, conduct client's observations, reporting incidents, completing log books as well as assisting with the care of their pet(s).
I am in excellent health, no known allergies apart from seasonal pollen allergy, physically healthy and in sound mind.
I am available Monday to Friday days and alternate weekends. I would like to do a minimum of 3 hour block per shift up to 8 hours at day time.
